Hello everyone! It's been a while since i officially blogged. Try 2 months lol! Sorry about that it won't happen again...  ...maybe ;) Thing is with getting Solar Wind Theory done and many challenges and developments in my life trying to figure this thing out ive gotten a little side tracked on some things and better at keeping up with other things.

Channel Surfers

For instance my YouTube account has been a place where i have been able to put out consistant content building many relationships with other viewers and YouTubers. It's definately a great site to connect with people. Often overlooked. I think most of my inspiration to really get this going is my wife's progress on YouTube. She has been doing make up tutorials, reviews etc. just for the fun of it and she's meet a lot of cool people in a very real way. I am trully amazed and proud of her videos! Locust Swarm

I'm going to try my best to stay brief here but i do want to mention my new album officially on my blog! As you may allready know and can guess my new album Solar Wind Theory is finally finished and available for purchase! I am trully excited to finish this album and i think it really came out great! So far people have been feeling it and my boy Cas Metah of Scribbling Idiot's even had this to say about it!!!

"it's definitely one of the best albums this year anyone has sent me to preview"

Id love to hear what you guys think of it too! You can get your copy at the store here on the site or many other places like ITunes, CD Baby, etc. It will also soon be available at SphereofHipHop.com very soon! And i really would love to hear what you guys think. Even if you hate it i have thick skin ;) At the very least if you would like to download the first Single off the album "It Is" you can download it here!

Also my boy Wut Metaphysical also of Shadow of the Locust just put out a 10 song ep entitled Lay Down the Law that you can get at SphereofHipHop.com here! or also on ITunes! Definately worth checking out theres a Song produced by myself featuring Wut, Prefekt and I about abortion you may want to check out. God's Choice

And last but not least i wanted to let you guys in on a project i am currently working on which is the album cover for
"God Choosez the Foolish"

This is another Locust album by my boy Reveal that is available for free download here! You can say wassup to Reveal on his Facebook page. He's a real cool kat!

So far i am only in the sketching stages but i figured i would show you a bit of the process. Reveals idea for an image is of a kind of bum character sleeping on the side of the streets with a light representing the Holy Spirit coming down to awaken him from his un born again state. This is a pretty realistic description of how God actually came to him. So today i did some figure drawings of some images of bums sleeping that i found on Google images to get some gesture and clothing references for the cover. Also on here are some thumbnails i did the other day to work out the layout of the album cover. I'm not yet sure how realistic i plan on getting detail wise with this but we will see...  I'm definately likeing the ant's eye view which you can see in the top left image in the collection below. I'd love to get some feedback from you guys on these loose ideas before dive into the final illustration. Should i go with the ants eye view or another view? Should i go with a detailed more realistic look or a cartoony look? How about color? Reveal saw my album cover and wanted to have something vibrant like that but i was thinking more of a rough almost black and white look with a little bit of color contrast in the airy Holy Spirit depiction. But there are many other possible options too and im open to suggestions so get at me guys!

So there it is finally a new blog post! Well i plan on coming with more blogs from here on out....  I will probably post at the very least weekly on either sunday afternoon or monday morning so look out for that.

Also i am currently revamping the podcast and will be back to a much more regular schedule on that very soon also!

Some friends and i have been reading Proverbs a chapter a day together for the month of July. Here are some of my thoughts on some of todays verses! By the way feel free to join in on the Chapter a Day reading and come by and share some of your own thoughts!!!!

"He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich" Proverbs 10:4

Now being rich isnt necessarily my goal but i am taking this one to heart with my music/art. I know God didnt create me with all of these creative abilities to just sit on them and do nothing. I recognize that this kind of stuff is obviously my function. Because it's the only thing in my life i actually do pretty well and have a strong desire to do workwise. So i need to be Diligent with it....   Yes ive allways done this kind of stuff anyways but sadly until recently my work ethic with it has barely peaked passed a hobby level...  no more! If this is my function i need to be diligent! and im taking this as a promise that me being diligent with this is me being obedient to God's Call on my life and he will make my efforts to prosper...  wether i become rich or not is not the point...  my focus is on doing what im meant to do diligently and growing also in sanctification! So yea that's what im thinkin with this one.

This one reminds me of a personal theory ive allways believed to be true...   Letting out anger only feeds on itself and creates more anger....  people allways tell me one day im gonna blow cuz i keep a lot of stuff in...  but i don't believe thats true...  because when i see people get angry it only breeds more anger...  from a young age the Lord taught me to love and forgive people...  people probly think im harboring all kinds of things but honestly its not very long after a wrong is done to me that ive let it go and honestly probly forgot it...  now this has actually caused me to be naive at times and through the years with negetive experiences ive actually lost a little of this virtue...  ive become more skeptical and less trusting...  but ive also strayed away from the word and entered into some wrong paths so it's only natural i would lose some of this. I Pray the Lord will restore me to where i came from in this as i start being more diligent to dig into his word and worship and pray. Praise God He Is Faithfull!!!!!!

"Wise peoples store up knowledge" Proverbs 10:14a

This whole knowledge thing is throwing me for a loop a little bit...  The reason why is because i think about the tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil a lot and ive almost come to the conclusion that knowledge isnt as important or as good as people tend to say it is...  I also think of scriptures that talk about Knowledge puffing up peoples pride etc.  What we should be more reliant on than building knowledge, reading books, getting degrees etc. is trusting in Christ and fallowing Him.  Reading the word which is Life! Hence the "Tree of Life". BUT...  proverbs does talk a lot about acquiring knowledge. Of course Ecclesiasties which may have been also written by King Solomon talks about Knowledge and reading books as part of a vanity so i guess theres a balance...  hmmmm.

Cover Finished (sort of)
I've been dabbling in Gimp (an open source program similar to photoshop) for over half a year but I have yet to take on a task quite as hefty as this. It was a lot of work assembling all the images and coloring it while maintaining decent quality kind of learning as i go along. Truth is im not entirely done but i wanted to at least get the main cover image done so i can use it as a promotional tool for the album. In the second image you can see how theres still some detail i need to work on as well as adding text. Please only use the main cover if you want to help promote the album. Thanks :)

Comic's
Another reason im really excited about this is my passion for Comic Books. Besides my Faith in Christ my Wife and Hip Hop i have allways loved the art form of comic books and this is the closest i have ever gotten to creating anything similar to a comic. It will be a trip to finally see it in print! Look out for Calmplex Comics in the hopefully near future though ;)

Wow what a ride this has been! If anyone ever tells you putting out an album is easy punch them in the face! lol Well at least when you do it the way im doing it it's not. Ive been spending just about every extra second for the last 2 weeks trying to polish up Solar Wind Theory and let me tell you!

A big problem is im doing everything myself and i ran out of time. I've been working on  this album for months but the creative process doesnt allways run smooth. I tell you one thing though im learning a lot. And as usual when im forced to be creative with time constraints God is blessing me with some Gems!!! It's amazing to see how what in my head and studio seems like such a mess start to take shape and form into a solid cohesive project. Im really almost done now... 

Waiting on some collaborations and still have about 5 tracks to polish  up then it's off to my boy Codak at www.thelabaddictz.com to mix and master the bugger.  That should be about a week or so and then i can send it off to get duplicated!

I just want to Thank all of my friends and fam for the support especially my wife who has put up with my crankyness and reminded me to pray with her when things get stressfull. Also a lot of you have been very encouraging with texts, and fb/twitter messages.

Album will be out July 4th and the T-Shirts are ready now at the store!  Thanks again everyone!!!
